What You’ll Do

  • Own the entire QA lifecycle for our web-based products—from test strategy and automation to reporting and release sign-off
  • Design and build scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks using Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent tools
  • Lead API testing initiatives and ensure test coverage of key integrations using Postman
  • Develop, manage, and optimize test plans and cases in tools like TestRails
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to define risk-based testing strategies
  • Integrate test automation into our CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
  • Utilize BrowserStack for cross-browser testing and ClickUp for issue tracking and collaboration
  • Write and enforce Gherkin-style test cases to maintain consistency and clarity across QA documentation
  • Leverage observability platforms like DataDog to trace issues across the stack and validate deployments
  • Collaborate in UI/UX testing via Figma or Zeplin
  • Mentor QA team members and help define team culture, tools, and long-term goals
  • Drive initiatives to improve test coverage, speed, reliability, and transparency across the engineering organization

Requirements

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, with at least 1–2 years in a senior or lead role
  • Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, especially for test automation and scripting
  • Deep familiarity with Node.js and React applications from a testing perspective
  • Experience with API testing, including writing tests, mocking data, and validating responses
  • Proficient in one or more of: JavaScript, Python, or SQL
  • Expertise with modern test tooling (Cypress, Playwright, Postman, BrowserStack)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD workflows, deployment strategies, and release validation
  • Experience with GitHub, test case management systems (TestRails), and collaborative tools (ClickUp)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to advocate for quality at every stage of development
  • Track record of mentoring QA engineers or leading QA process improvements
  • Comfortable operating independently and collaboratively in agile, fast-moving teams
  • Experience working in a startup environment, particularly at Series A/B stage, is a major plus
